Maureen Kelly Cooper is a commercial real estate executive with 25+ years of experience. She advises corporate leadership by translating business strategy into real estate results. Cooper consistently combines her knowledge as a CPA with her expertise in the real estate capital markets to bring creative and impactful solutions to her clients.
Maureen held the position of Executive Director with Cushman & Wakefield’s New York City office from 2006-2013 and the Dallas office from 2013-2022. She led the Southeast region of the firm’s Corporate Capital Markets Group. As only one of a handful of professionals around the country in this specialty area, Maureen exceled at creating innovative strategies while delivering asset monetization or savings opportunities to clients. She advised major clients such as Globe Life, Michael Kors and Brinker International by maximizing real estate value and executing transactions. These included headquarter relocations, sale-leasebacks, lease restructuring, build-to-suit and private/public partnerships. Over her tenure, she participated in over $40 billion worth of successful transactions.
Prior to Cushman & Wakefield, she spent eight years at the corporate headquarters of The Staubach Company in Dallas (predecessor to JLL). She began her career in 1991 working in real estate accounting for Trammell Crow and JPI Inc. in Dallas, followed by UBS in London, England.
